Who operates this website

This website is operated under the name MelodicaNotes.

Information used to deliver the website

Our hosting and content-delivery services process technical request information, which can include your IP address, browser information, requested address and request time, to deliver pages and support security and troubleshooting. MelodicaNotes uses Hostinger hosting and delivery infrastructure. Their processing is described in Hostinger’s privacy policy.

Site usage statistics

Our own statistics feature records aggregate page-view counts by day, page, broad device category and referral category, such as search engines or YouTube. Its statistics table does not store IP addresses, visitor identifiers, full referrer addresses or search terms. These counts help us understand which songs visitors use.

To avoid counting rapid repeat views, this feature sets a first-party cookie named mn_traffic_recent. It contains the last counted page ID and expires after approximately five seconds. It does not contain a unique visitor ID. Aggregate statistics are retained for comparing site usage over time. Separate hosting and third-party service records follow their own retention practices.

Google advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses and other device or browsing information to deliver, personalize and measure advertising and to prevent fraud. Google’s advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies can affect third-party features. Declining advertising consent does not require you to stop reading the song notes. Consent can be withdrawn for future processing without changing the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.

YouTube tutorials and external resources

Song pages include YouTube tutorials using the youtube-nocookie.com embed domain and thumbnails delivered by YouTube. Loading an embed or thumbnail sends a request to Google/YouTube, which receives technical information such as your IP address. The privacy-enhanced embed domain does not mean that no information is transmitted. Playing a video or following a YouTube link is also subject to Google’s privacy practices and your settings there.

Why information is processed and who receives it

Information is processed to deliver and secure this website, understand aggregate usage, provide video tutorials and support advertising. Where required, consent is requested for advertising cookies and personalized advertising. Service providers process information needed for their respective functions. Google and other providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence; their privacy notices explain their safeguards and practices.
